Cobras at QSL and raffle ticket sells
I've asked the manager at Quaker Steak and Lube if we can set up a special Cobra display with a table at the sundat Cruise-ins to sell raffle tickets and to help promote the London Cobra Show.
He said "no problem".
Now, I'm calling for volunteers to bring your cobras, coupes and GT-40s to QSL on sundays....hang out with car buffs, sell tickets, eat wings, bench race and have a good time.
This Sunday is the beginning of the cruise-in season. If you would like to help, please let me know ASAP....so I can inform QSL. I've asked to park our cars by the front door for maximum exposer.....but don't know how how everything will work until we try it the first time. So we'll show up and make adjustments as needed.
All are welcome...bring the family!
Who's in...?

I stopped by QS&L yesterday and gave them a couple of event posters which they are going to put up in the lobby. That can't hurt!

Doug and Dale, today I'll stop by QSL while out with the wifey ...hopefully to get better details. Also, I'll check with Bill Dyer to get him involved as well...he has the tickets.
I don't have your phones ...so watch your email or drop me a note with your phone numbers. I think we should meet together then caravan into QSL so we can park together.
I'll have more details later today(Saturday). Also, I'm getting some promo stuff from Don Scott (Classic Roadsters II) to help us sell tickets. ...I'm not sure if it'll make it for this weekend.
Rick, nice work on the poster! Have a great trip to AL.
staytuned folks!!! ....more news at 11:00

Starts at 5:00....till when-ever. I talked to the manager at QSL (Dan) yesterday...he is expecting an unusually big turn-out due to the nice weather and being the first event of the season.
He hinted at the thought of arriving a bit earlier for a better parking position and less stress on him trying to hold good spots...
Here's who's-going so far this weekend:
Rob Frink
Bill Dyer
Doug Kinemond(?)
Everyone is welcome!!

Great!!!
Yep...let's just meet there. Bill Dyer and myself will arrive at 5:00. Show up when you can. Being the first time...we'll see how things go so we can be better prepared for next Sunday. My lovely wife Sue is coming along as well (rare apperance)...bring the whole fam!!..or as many as you can fit in the Cobra!!
The raffle tickets are not done at the printer...so we won't actually sell any today .....but I'm excited to get the car out with other folks to meet-&-greet with friends.
I'm staying for an hour or two.
See ya there! (Quaker Steak and Lube, Polaris Parkway...on the north side of Columbus)

We will be back at Quaker Steak and Lube next Sunday 05/15/05 to sell raffle tickets and bench race. Today was a lot of fun. The weather was perfect. Next Sunday the American Leman's series cars will be at QSL from 11 am till ?. Cruise in starts at 5pm. Let me know asap if you can be there. I will call Rich or Dan at QSL and try to set up parking for our Cobras and a table close to the door for ticket sales. My email is DKINEMON@COL.RR.COM

The weather was fantastic!! I arrived sharply at 5:00 and was glad to see 2 other Cobras already there. Eventually we had 4 Cobras and a table full of great folks having a good time on the patio.
Dale, it was pleasure to meet you and your family. Your BB SPF sounded great as you departed. Man-o-man!! that's a lot of motor!!
As Doug and I admired each others cars, we noted that the Cobras drew the biggest crowds....unless you had a Chromed Blower w/ dual quads sticking 2 feet out the top of your hood.
Rick and Karen arrived in thier shiny red Unique with a new set of yokahomas...a beautiful roadster! Bill and Kathy Dyer came Cobra-less but brought a ton of good conversation and fun for the group.
Sue and I had a great time....thank you!!

I would have loved to spend the afternoon there but being mothers day, Karen rules the roost. I really don't know why since she is not my mother!

It was great meeting all of you last Sunday and also great to see Cobras being the dominant car in the parking lot. We actually out numbered the Vettes.
Thanks Rob for getting us all together. Hopefully we'll see more good weather next Sunday so we can do it again.

I just received a box of promo stuff from Don Scott at Classic Roadsters II. He sent several large posters and some tri-fold brochures to be used in our ticket booth. I won't be able to go to QSL for the next few weeks....so who wants this material?
This material is NOT intended to adorn your shop walls...it is for the raffle car promotion!! Mount the large posters on the front of the table with a sign that reads...."Win a Cobra"...... "buy raffle tickets here!"....or something in like that.
Anyway...I need to hand this material off to someone in the group....please let me know...
