Smile Mustang....

Why don't you simply finish your Mustang build, get it sorted, and sell it
outright? Then you can approach the
cobra market with cash in hand. Not that
cobra people have anything against Fox
body Mustangs, but I think you'll have to
wait quite a while before someone comes
along willing to do a trade. Most people
selling cobras are selling them because
they either want or need the money for
something like renovating the house or
paying college tuition for the kids or they
want to build or acquire another cobra.
Bear in mind that regardless of what
you invest in a car, it is only worth what
someone is willing is to pay for it. So if
you have $35K invested in the Mustang,
you will probably not realize anywhere
near that amount when trying to sell it.
By offering a finished, sorted car, you'll
probably be able to sell it faster, a
turnkey driver with a transferable
registration is far more attractive to
potential buyers than a semi-complete
car that the buyer has to finish out and
then go through the attendant registration and emission control hassles.

....Fred

well the only things left to do are being done at this time i figured i would have plenty of time, to complete before someone would come off a cobra.it has a clean title(although not street legal) but if you know someone that has the balls to drive a 1400hp drag car on the street send them my way i have a car to sell them.thanks for your thoughts don

Hey Don,
I'm just down the road from you. I've got a 77 mustang cobra II that I usd to drag race in street trim but have been changing to a rear sub-frame drag car over the past couple of years. I used to run at National Trail, Kanawha Valley, and KD before I tore it down. If you ever find a cobra it would be great to see you at a cruise-in around here and until you do maybe I'll see you at the strip sometime.

I'm going to have the guys at Autotech in Athens help me dial my suspension in when I get to that point. Your dads shop in Athens.....is it Russells Riverside?

I've been waiting to finish my car for several years now. Divorce and other priorities keep it on the back burner but hopefully as soon as I get my 68 fastback finished the drag car will be next on the list. I doubt I'll be racing again this year but hopefully by next year I'll have it back together.
