LCS trailer parking question
I was in Columbus this past weekend and I did a little scouting for my June trip to the London Cobra Show. This will be my first LCS and I am really looking forward to all the goings-on. My question has to do with trailer unloading and parking. Keep in mind that I am a rookie at this sort of thing and I want to avoid having to back this thing up in tight quarters as much as possible. I have a pick-up and the trailer is 18’-19’ long. I will be staying at a Columbus hotel and the desk clerk there this past weekend tells me I can unload and park the trailer there. That may work but because of limited parking there I fear that could change and it will be a very tight parking situation for sure. What do most participants with trailers typically do? Is there unloading and long term trailer parking in London? Do most park the rigs in the hotel lots for the weekend? Or do they leave their trailers in London? What is likely my best option? Thanks in advance for any advice offered

Hi JWILLY
I have attended several times.
Trailer parking has always been available at the WALMART very close to the event motels. There are always several trailers parked there. I have never heard of any problems.

Trailer
We park our trailers behind the Hampton, on the side and across the street. Get there early because the trailer space goes quick.
There are a lot of trailers and they all find a place to park.
"The Alabama Gang"
Dwight, I drive my Cobra so I can park out front.
P.S. last year I had to trailer mine the last 50 miles. Burned an alternator.

WalMart?
I arrived on Thursday last year. It had been announced that the Walmart lot was available for trailer parking. The secrity guard @ Walmart didn't agree.
He told several of us to move the trailers. Later in the weekend there were quite a few trailers in the Walmart lot. Perhaps someone could get this cleared up for this year????

If you would need help backing it up I'm sure someone would be glad to give you a hand.
I've seen Kumpie operate a trailer, I think he used to be a truck driver. If you can grab him before he starts drinking, say before 6 am, you should be good to go.

A little birdie told me that the London Wal-Mart lot would not be available for trailer parking (but, don't have a clue if that is currently correct). I hope someone can clarify this before too long.
Dwight,
I was born in Florence, Ala.; grew up in Savannah, Tenn.; graduated from the Univ. of Ala. I would like to apply for honorary membership in "The Alabama Gang." Let me know how the vote turns out.
Thanks
