I believe i have seen this very same 289 rear section , but it was in St.Charles MO at a shop called Fast Lane Cars INC..I have a picture of it ( of what i believe is this same section) in my post "Lets see those Shelby Cobra collections".

When i saw what i believe is this same section , it was while i was on the Hot Wheels 40th anniversary tour last year.We had made a stop to get some repairs done to my cobra , and they had the section i think you are asking about on stands in their shop.It was in very rough condition as you will see in my post's slideshow.

I am almost certain it is the same rear section...hope this helps.

Frank

I don't think it's the same one Frank.

mk2gt40, I know the owner/seller and have seen it in person. What would you like to know?

Larry and Frank thank you both but really just wanted to establish what one should bid on something like this as it`s not often one becomes available.
I know that a complete body costs ballpark $28000.00.

Yeah, it's very nice and would be a good deal for someone. If someone has any questions, let me know and I'll relay them.
