Default Picture request for Lucas firewall components...

Can you guys help me out and post some good close up pictures of the Lucas relays/fuse boxes that were mounted on the drivers side firewall on the origional 427's please.

I am trying to replicate the look and need to see how the wires run as well as location of each piece in retrospect to each other.

I know the wiring differs form car to car depending on what options were installed, I am more interested in how the wiring was run as opposed to what was connected.

Thanks

Not really. I need a close up of the components on the firewall, not on the footbox, and where the wires run through the firewall.

Thanks for posting though

Yes, that does help. It also shows the oil vapor canister hose to the rear/trans!

Thanks

Still could use a few showing the right side, anyone?

uuuups - appearently I have a tendency to mix up the chassis numbers of the cars in my garage

May well be that I saved the picture with wrong file name - so thanks to Computerworks I can now have this corrected

thanks for the clarification

Default I second that...

4158 has the same arrangement as bernica's...unfortunately the parts guys at Shelby don't have a clue what the pieces are. (not kidding) Apparently newer continuation cars have all modern bits.
Is there an alternate source for these lucas pieces?

Answered my own question. Fuseboxes on ours are Lucas 4Fj and 7fj, as illustrated here

http://www.tvrna.com/lucas/lucas-fuse-boxes.htm

Moss motors carries some lucas bits like the 7fj, still searching for others.

Cobra Restorers has many of the firewall electrical components.

www.cobrarestorers.com

I can identify any of the particular parts if you have questions.

BPNorthwest.com has Lucas covers ( TR 6 ? ) for $4.31/cover and Cobra Restorers wants over $12/cover . Don`t know if they are the same , but they sure look the same .... and are both by Lucas .

You can get them cheaper if you watch EBAY. That's what I did

Default critiques please

What do you think guys,

Am I missing something way off? Still not 100% complete. Stilll have to add gromets on heater hoses, other rod end/heim joint buy driver side foot box for linkage, and final routing/taping of wiring, but I think you get the idea. Heater hoses could have been higher, but they were starting to kink if I went any higher

Ideas/comments appreciated.

Default more pics

Forgot to mention

This is a FFR chassis, but that footbox does give it away and limited me a LOT!

I really like what you have done. I am after the same thing. Can you post the parts list and the source? That would be a huge help to me.

EBAY! I got everything on ebay from different sellers. The big Lucas DB10 was the hardest to find. They usually go for around $100 to $140.

You can get new ones with modern internals. Someone sent me a like on one of my other threads. Do a search, I am sure you will find it all.

Let me know if you can't find it and I will do some digging.
Dan
