Default Source for Lucas #104 rear view mirrors

Anyone know of a good source for the #104 rear view mirror? Doesn't have to be OEM, but atleast a good repo.

Thanks

Dan, get a hold of mickmate here and see if he has one. If not, I can find you a site when I get home to my computer.

Larry

I just spoke to nick today (he's on vacation), but he didn't mention he had one. Did mention another person that has a lot of good parts, but I forget his name already. If you find your contact when you get home I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Dsn

Aardvark International has lots of mirror parts but I don't think they have much for Lucas. Lots of Talbot stuff though if you're looking for outside mirrors. ( and let me tell you, if you hold an original Talbot in one hand and a repro in the other, no comparision!)

Tony Branda sells a mirror that I think looks pretty close for the interior. He says it's the correct mirror for the center (Lucas) but it's a repro. Short of finding an original on eBay, I think there isn't any made now. I think the front side should be black wrinkle finish but I know there's been some discussion about that in the past. Might do a search.
Anyway, here's Branda's site: http://www.cobranda.com/corevimi.html
Cobra Restorers also sells a repro.
HTH,
Larry

Are you looking for the door mount or dash mount.

I happen to think about this later last night, if you're doing an S/C-comp style car, I'd use Raydyot mirrors on all three positions if it were my build. Just a thought.

I did think about that, but I believe the Berlin 300 jr and lucas 104 are more correct for the early 66 S/C.

I think Dans right. Remember they were unsold street cars needing wheels and an owner with a few spare dollars. A friend of mine found some perfect repops and I have one. They may be some in limited availability.

Nick
Let me know if your friend has any more of those repos. Is this the guy you mentioned to me the other day on the phone?

And by the way, aren't you supposed to be on Vacation?

All Cobra's came with Lucas #104. Windshield delete cars went to Raydyot as the Lucas will break.

OEM mirror, phew $$$$
Pepos are also big $ for mirror; 10x + more than std replica version's
