I enjoyed looking at that car more than any other at the SAAC event.

FYI -- CSX2289 is going to cross the auction block at the next Gooding & Co. event in Scottsdale AZ on Jan 21-22, 2011.
The estimated price is $525-625K USD, which seems a bit rich to me. I know some buyers are looking for "original unrestored" vs fully restored, so who knows... I guess it'll depend who's in the crowd that day.

Has csx2289 been restored now . Its a shame these cars are subjected to frame off restorations , it just washes away the history and stories these cars have to tell.

It's fun to see pics of 289 cars and see all the clueless 'all Cobras are 427 SC's' crowd come out of the woodwork and expand their horizons.
