Looks like the pic was taken at North Island Naval Station in San Diego if that helps. I know bases tend to look alike but the background looks right too.
Roll bar looks a little different than a Contemporary. Could that be the new SPF prototype?

Looks like there are a few subtle differences between the Cobra that I took the photo of and the Contemporary that Mr Mustang posted photos of? I did take the photo at Coranado during the vintage races though.
