I wouldn't think about arguing with anybody since I'm no expert, but looks right to me.

I "scaled" the dimensions for mine from pics of original Cobra's.
But lot's of owners of original Cobras here to help.

Regarding Trico bottle tops, here are some other examples I've found. The first two are from 428Street - the second being his ERA - hope he doesn't mind my posting.
On these websites are more photos but they are protected from copying:
1967 Shelby Cobra 427 This is CSX 3357 and has the fill port at right rear and suction tube in the center.
1966 Used Shelby Cobra 427 at Canepa Serving Scotts Valley, IID 6863033 This is CSX 3112 and has the filler at left-front and suction tube in the center.
No telling how many of these are original but there seems to be a variant with the fill port at the firewall (right-rear) but most have the fill port at the left-forward corner. Some have the suction tube dead center of the cap and others have it in the right-rear corner. Very inconsistent
Maybe Nick can shed some light on all of these variations.

I agree - there seems to be 2 variants - the type with centre grommet and corner suction tube that several of us have, and the type with central suction, and no hole in the corner for the suction tube. I think Im going to just decide to be happy with what Ive managed to track down over several ebay auctions. will post pic of mine shortly.

There should only be two holes in the top cover. One is the filler cap in the corner, the other is the tube fitting in the center. The caps can be turned around but I think you'll find it a trick to fill with the cap against the firewall under the bonnet latch bracket. I believe also the Cobra bottle bracket should be two holes only rather than the universal multi holed and slotted type. There was a generic aftermarket kit of this washer set up (multi holed) and there was also manufacturers applications whether it was Land Rover or Austin A10 or some early Brit motah.

Not entirely correct top and certainly not pretty - but appears to be a proper size Trico bottle.

It see it sold for a little over $60. I figured it would be more considering they aren't too common. Anyone here buy it?

-that about what I paid for the ones I got, seems about right, although mine were in much better condition.

We're working on reproducing the bottles at the moment as they have become so hard to find.

Now you tell us. Actually, I really like the one you sold me - looks brand new. Even if the top is a very slightly different, there's no point in obsessing over every small deviation from stock under ERA's hood. There would be no end to it.
