Default Doors

Trying to find out some info and figured maybe someone out there could point me in the right direction.

Long story short, my dad owned a orig car & enough parts to build another back in the day, lost them when he landed in prison for awhile(all before I was born). He was a street racer and always talked about that car as well as many others, some I know.

Anyways to my point, about 17yrs ago I came across these aluminum doors in the garage attic and an older buddy of mine said they looked like cobra doors, and I was like oh cool I guse. I was more interested in my 68 camaro and didn't care really. Also my dad had passed away a few years earlier.

So here I am in the internet age, older, maybe a little wiser and watching some show bout restoring some old car w/o doors and I remeber those doors are still up there. So I'm wondering if these thing have any value other than the high price of scrap these days or just to hang on someone's wall as art. Been doing some looking and there's not too much info bout orig parts and I'm not even 100% they are what I think. Still figured I'd ask a question before getting one of my smaller friends to climb up n back in there to dig em out.

Thanks for looking.

You'll have to post some pictures to get any response here. There undoubtedly will be interest, as there is in any original part(s) from a Cobra. Hose the dust off, and take a few shots from several angles, in good light, and with close ups of any details. You won't retire on the proceeds, but you may be surprised what they might be worth to the right person.

Wait a min.. Didn't Shelby use prisoners to work on some of the cars at the Vegas shop ?? Maybe he "picked" them up there !!

Original body parts (uh...bad choice of words) are certainly of value to owners of original cars.

Post a few pictures, especially of the top outside and the upper-inner front of the door frame. That can help us identify.

Also, as mentioned, if the doors have hinges, there would/should be a stamping of a CSX number, if they came off an original car.
