427 Cobra Owners Manual
I own a 4000 series Shelby Cobra and I'd love to have an owner's manual in the trunk when I show the vehicle. I have an OLD catalog from Cobra Restorers, Ltd. that listed a reprint of the 427 Owners Manual for $17.50. It appears they no longer sell them and Finish Line sells only a reprint of the 289 manual. Do any of you know where I can get one?

Chrickets, eh? Well. I called Cobra Restores today and they were of no help. They just confirmed they no longer sell it. If any of you know where I can get one, please chime in.

I'm working on them. It's one of several projects. Shoot me a PM and I'll put you on the list.

Steve,
I saw this one earlier. I have had some pretty bad luck with eBay and I will never know if the one for sale is worth the reserve this guy has on the manual. Nick (Mickmate), on the other hand, is someone who can be trusted. I'm not really Jones'n for an original so I'm waiting for a good quality reproduction instead.
Thanks for the head's-up on this though!
Mike

Do a saved search for a 427 cobra manual on Ebay. Repros pop up from time to time.

I have the original manual from 3327 available. It is genuine and has a known chain of ownership. It is not mine, but belongs to the former owner of 3327 and is available from him via me.
PM for details if seriously interested. It is not cheap but it is real!

Why not just state the asking price on this thread? What's the big secret?

Try the SAAC forum, too. That's where I got lucky with my 427 manual.
But Mickmate will set you up, too. Just be a little patient.

I just find it really irritating when someone posts "I have one, it's for sale, but you have to PM for the price." Like it's a secret, a big, friggin' secret, and the whole world depends on me playing it really close to the vest....

Neener, neener, neener.
Because it is not mine. How much do you want for yours?
Patrick, we have been down this road before. How many more posts can you get out of this?
Besides, it is the really rare manual with the "how to cover your dual roll bars in pipe insulation" section! Really, if you aren't truly interested in the manual what does it matter to you how the owner chooses to sell it?
Yep, a big friggin' secret........

I could scan my copy in and with the right paper stock ,a heavy gauge light gray cover and glossy paper on the inside and a couple of brass bolts to bind it together you could have a pretty good copy. Mine say's on the cover COBRA 427 Chassis Instruction Book it is a repo from Cobra Restorers I got in the 80's. If anyone is interested?

They're all reproductions. There was only one original one, and it was burned up when Mrs. O'leary's cow kicked over the lantern. They're all fakes, even the ones purported to be real and that have no asking price. It would be nice though if you posted some hi-res scans of it.

I have been ignoring your usual rantings, but now you have just called me a liar and accused me of offering a fraudulent product. A product you have never seen, may or may not be able to identify and authenticate and have no genuine interest in other than your usual sh!t stirring.
Just because YOU don't know what the owner is asking, it makes it a "fake"?!?!
What address would you like the legal papers to be served at? I have a "no cost" attorney as he is my son so I wouldn't push it.
Why can't you leave this to parties who may have genuine interest and are able to use a computer for two way communication?
Ron, Jamo,
Could you please lock this down and stop this crap?
Thank you.

If you would just tell me what the number is, I very well might write you a check for it.
