Which steering wheel?
OK you experts, which steering wheel is correct for CSX2xxx and CSX3xxx? And COB/COX cars too, if there's a difference?

Not sure what the cob/Cox cars had.

No. 1 is correct (or as close as you'll get) for COB cars. Available from Motolita with the correct boss.

None are correct!
#1 is close, can get the correct wheel from actoncustom.com
#1 has the bend too far out from the center, it is close but no cigar

Jeff is correct, sort of. The flat center flang to kick up dimension is different. The wood stock, the color, the overall finish of the wood and aluminum are all "Upgraded" by the current original manufacturer. I have discussed this with Nick and I am not sure if he has addressed these issues with Motolita or even if they care. For most, the Nick supplied wheel should be good enough, or the best you can get.

I agree that a version of wheel #1 (with the bends closer to the centre of the wheel) would seem to be more correct.
The wheel shown on Nick's website looks to me to be very similar to wheel #1, with the bend lines close to the inner end of the slots. Am I missing something?

The wheel that was installed by Shelby on my CSX4000 series Cobra appears to be an exact reproduction of the 3000 cars. The kick/ bend points are so close to the center that the Cobra emblem outer diameter actually overlaps them. The center emblem is raised enough so that it does not contact the bends......OD measures 15 inches and all slot lengths are 3 3/16 inches from outer radius to outer radius......The clear coat is starting to chip on mine.....Must lighten up on the grip !!

Bruce you're a fabulous resource for us as always. You guys have eagle eyes. Spotting the bend is good work. Of course the 16" wheel was the correct size but with overstuffed seats on newer cars it puts the wheel against your knee when your trying to drive.
Rims have a layer or two like the old days.
If Jeff posted a picture of his you'd think it was 50 years old.

Does anyone know if all three of these have the identical hole pattern? Also, do the center buttons fit all three? The Mota-Lita has a unique hole pattern that is asymmetric. Would be curious, for example, if the #1 with split bars could be swapped for, say, #2 or #3 without issues? The original looking one (#1) has more offset and places the wheel closer to the driver (thus probably giving more leg room, too?).
