Default Csx 2128

It's barely visible but at some stage CSX 2128 when it was yellow #96 and when it was blue #50 it had a never seen before bracket for the center mirror. I have tried to enlarge the pics I have but the quality is very moderate. Any idea where this bracket came from? Selfmade or custom and for a special reason?

Cheers

I just got a picture of a mirror that looks like that yesterday. It looks like a Lucas 104 base with a longer mirror and a funky clip.

104 marked stems were used with several different glass clamp designs and finishes. (427 Cobra used a different stem as standard.) The roughly triangular
chrome plated clamps were used on early Cobras. By the time the last CSX25XX car was made AT LEAST two (2) more and maybe more clamp / back of mirror
coatings were used.

Look long enough and you will find assemblies that use curved glass. I have no idea what cars used the curved glass variation.

Buyers have been fooled by "103" stems for sale loose. When sold separately the buyer won't notice that while they look like they are "104s" they are significantly shorter.

The mirror is one thing, thanks but I'm interested in some information about the bracket for the mirror.
