Cobra in New York
Can anyone identify the Cobra in this picture, which was taken in New York in 1966 outside the Rockefeller Center while waiting for the Beach Boys to arrive?

It's John King in CSX 3129. Note the car is a narrow-hip, hence it couldn't be Carter's. John had a vanity tag on the car that contained his initials (JFK) as well as a year (which I now forget) that was when he expected to be elected President. Truth.

That looks like the one Wayne Carini picked up last year, he would not discuss much about it but it was shown during his open house in oct last year with all the dust on it for sitting for several of years. I know i have some pics of it, I will try to locate.

Well, John King took a look at this photo and said, "That's not me." He did not recognize the passenger, and said he never had a front license plate affixed to 3129 like that. So, the next most logical guess would be that this is 3136, which was owned by Bob Goldman of northern NJ at the time. Any more input to help us pin this down?

Ned, just a quick look I would also agree it's most likely 3136, as you can see the trace of a {non-standardized} antenna at the RF cowl in the Rockefeller Center photo, which is also shown in the shots of 3136 in the '67 Automobile Quarterly. The not too common chrome exhaust tips are also evident in both.

CSX3136 is currently sitting in the showroom at Legendary Motorcar (Milton ON) ...and looking fabulous, I might add.
