Default Original 289 Cobra Heater Switch

Can anyone provide a photo of an original 289 cobra heater switch (the switch itself, not the knob/bezel). Prefer a photo of the switch in place behind the dash or one that came out of a cobra vs. a 61-63 Falcon equivalent switch. I am looking specifically for how they modified the Falcon switch for the cobra. I appreciate any help.

Nice pic! On that pic, it looks like the cable has been removed. Was it not used?

No cable needed, heater flaps operated by hand.

prostrangrr, I have the original switch that looks like the one in your photo, but with the way it mounts up with the original bezel/securing nut on the front of the dash, there is a fair bit of space between the switch housing and the dash, not allowing it to tighten into place.

Can you tell me if there is an extra part(s) that shores up that space between the switch housing and the dash. Right now, I have the switch and then from the front of the dash I have the orig bezel and the securing nut (chrome tube-shaped nut that seats into the bezel), and then the knob.

Thanks.

If I remember correctly. There is a metal tube (spacer) that fits behind the dash that makes up the gap. I don't have a good picture of it and the car is not where I can look at it right now. Hope this will help.

There is a spacer that goes between the switch and the back side of the dash. It's a formed sheet metal cup and is available from a number of after market parts suppliers.
I'll see if I can find a pic.

Of course, now I can't find a pic! You could make a spacer out of some tubing though. Shouldn't be much of a problem.

If anyone of you guys has the correct MKII bezel/nut and want to sell it, let me know. I've been looking for one for almost a year now and have not found one.
