Default 289 Windscreen Sprayer Jet

Just saw this on eBay and thought I'd pass it along for anyone looking for original style sprayers. There is only one though.

And wholly cow, am I glad I already have a set!

Is that what was actually used on 427 cars? If so, I had no idea.

The Cobra 427 is totally different. It was made by Trico if I'm not mistaken.
The ones used on the leaf spring cars are Lucas.

Mine are actually a little different than the one on eBay. Mine are beveled on the top with one knurled ring. I see this one has two rings and no bevel.

This is for the 289 car then. That clears things up.

Thanks

I'm surprised someone has not reproduced it. Guessing the market is too small to reproduce it. Very limited use back in the day.

I found mine on eBay but it took two years of looking. Not reproduced as far as I know.

I trade parts with a guy that was making them, let me follow up. The centre nozzle part was easy and available, he was having the tooling made to press the little surrounds. How many sets do you need Roger?

I'll start with a pair, please! If they're in production, can you send an invoice?

Thanks Nick - this has always been a difficult part to find.

Not for the SP250, I'm afraid.

I could not find that they were still made or reproduced. I found units made from stainless steel that had what looked like the correct shape/screw spacing but used a currently produced nozzle mounted to it. Nice but didn't have the right look to me.
Some confusion online about Trico and Lucas units but the correct parts were made by Lucas. They were used on a number of cars at the time besides Cobra. Some Morgans used them and I think the Diamler Dart as well. I was also told Lotus used them but I couldn't confirm that. Morgans used one, mounted in the middle. It wasn't used on all Morgans though.
I'm interested to see what Nick's working on. (hint, hint) Like a photo!
