Not Ranked
It's not good news, I'm afraid - the originals used Leveroll runners as Dan has indicated. The only other car I have found that used the same design of runner was Aston Martin, on the DB4/5/6 series, and these were slightly shorter in length. Needless to say the Aston parts are not easy to find as they are not remanufactured. Gerry Hawkridge could supply good repro runners in the past, but the manufacturing tool was damaged some time ago and I don't think it's been repaired.
I find it hard to believe that the runners were unique to Cobra (and presumably Ace), as that's not how the British motor industry operated in the 50s and 60s - but I have looked long and hard for these. If anybody knows any different, please let me know!
Maybe if we all (as I have) contact Gerry and pester him to repair the tool?
