Default Air Splitter Trim

I am planning to make my own panel. Anyone know of a source for the trim on the front of the air splitter for a 427 street roadster? I have heard that it is from a VW but that is a smooth curve. The pictures and originals I have see have ridges. Even if there is something close I may be interested. Also, if anyone knows the size. If I don't find something I will go with a smooth chrome piece but would at least like to make it the correct size.
Thanks
Rod

Hi Rod, I see your build thread made the headlines on the FFR forum. Congrats you're making some great progress now. The trim you pictures is a T profile. It was made specifically for the AC's as far as we can tell. When there is enough demand for them I will eventually get to tooling up and make some. The Beetle running board trim I have used is a pretty good look.

Hi Nick, Thanks.
When you say "T" profile do you mean that the center has a ridge that sicks up with the top of the T against the back? It almost looked like a U shape with two ridges but can't tell with the reflections. I took the pictures to many years ago and was trying to take in too many details of the car. Should have taken even more close up pictures. If I can't find anything else I will go with something like you used. It does give a good look. Do you know how wide the original is? Looks like maybe 3/8" (9 mm) or thinner.

I have been looking around a lot on the net for one that looked something like the original and have had no luck. Even if it was a different profile but with some ridges I think the resemblance would look good. I know most people won't know anyway. That's what I was hoping to find.

You got it, the head of the T goes against the front edge of the splitter.
