If that switch is malfunctioning, the motor parking might be effected. I'm just trying to hit all the possibilities. That switch might work 100% off the motor, but if the assembly doesn't fit on the motor body tightly enough, there might not be enough "cam" to make it work.

Hi Alf,

I think we are talking apples and oranges. ERA uses a more modern round motor with a 5pin connector that I believe also integrates the park switch. Similar to this: Wiper Motor - Under Dash with Rack 12 Volt for vintage & classic cars

You are using an older square body motor which is totally different, uses a different rotary switch and has a different style of park switch. Do you have a spare rotary switch to try with your wiper motor? That may help you determine if you a rotary switch issue, park switch issue or a wiper motor issue.

Not only is it different, it's a DR3 - which are different again from the more common DR3A. The park system is completely different.
It sounds like it's out of the car. Can you jury-rig it completely to replicate in-car installation? I think you need to have the rack and switch actuator fully installed to check.

Could be that I found the „issue“

Having mounted the PRS7 switch on the bench vise, switching between P-N-H gets much faster compared to the switch being mounted on the dash.
I tried to switch very slow between the positions (making sure it disconnects the old switch position prior to connect to the new one) and I did not see the issue any more.
I assume I was switching to fast between the positions and the motor had no chance to release the magnetic field on time before the other setup got activated.

If I’ll encounter this issue again after having everything mounted on the car I’ll add some relais on the circuit. They should make sure the previous circuit is open before closing the next one.
