An interesting and rather funny thread. I think I will just skip all of the rest and buy mine straight from Nigeria.

You took the words right out of my mouth, I am concerned about the legality of this type of transaction... what is the vehicle was involved in some sort of crime ans subsequently disposed off in the quarry????? Thread lightly with this. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

While it would be interesting from a historical perspective to know the details of what you are referring to, the tag you claim to have may be worthless and quite possibly even a liability. There is a good chance the rights to the car still belong to the owner at the time it was stolen or their insurance company. Trying to sell a stolen vehicle or parts of it does not go over well with authorities. Also, some states have laws that prohibit trying to sell an ID tag without the car...

This is about as true as the the invitations to the weekly mixer with the space aliens at Area 51.

While we did have mixers with the aliens, they are long since dead. They were two great pilots/astronauts. Danz was a good dancer, but Crensha had two left feet. They both were very good bowlers.
[edit] Area 51 is a decoy along with project Blue Book and Roswell. They are great stories for the conspiracy theorists, but Crensha and Danz were never there.

Ok I wasn't goin to tell anyone BUT I did get a hold of him. He was only 50 miles away. I gave him a $2000 cash "finders fee" before we went down to see the car. Cold up here an the damm water was COLD !!! Car had all the Shelby parts on it. Someone must have made a clone out of it. Hipo 289 with an auto. Hood was missing but he said he thought it was in another spot near by. The aluminum parts all looked good. It was only in maybe 40/50' of water.
We were goin all around the car when suddenly he got caught up in something by the cowl.. It was a jagged hole. All of a sudden he lost his air line !! I bailed out an ran !! Stopped by his car an got my cash back. Thank God because the wife thought I was crazy :JEKYLHYDE
I wouldn't go back there. I am sure He is still down there so I guess this thread is DONE.
Sorry guy's.. Wish I had better news.

This mystery car has to be a Street Beast with a Mustang vin.
It makes perfect sense why it's at the bottom of a quarry.
