Default hood prop rod clip

looking for a correct repro clip that holds the hood (bonnet) prop rod when the hood is in the closed position. From my research it appears that it was made of a yellow plastic (white that turned yellow with age?) but I am not certain. An old post (10 years) referenced a person who had them for sale for just a few dollars. That phine number is no longer in service.

Any assistance much appreciated. The devil is in the details, right?
Best
Ron

I've never really looked that closely at it but I think it's a flat steel hook, painted black and attached to the right hand aluminum splash panel.

Ron
Sent you a picture via email. The original hood strut hook is a piece of metal strap, bent into a J shape and bolted to the right inner fender.

Even if mickmate (Acton Custom) doesn't advertise them, me thinks he's got it anyways.

I have the same problem and look forward to seeing where these might be available.

As an interim solution, I went to Ace Hardware and bought a "j" looking clip with black rubber coating and bolted it in place. It works fine and looks ok, although not as strong as the original.
