wooden rimmed steering wheel
The big differences lie in the "wood" used. Original rack and pinion steering system car steering wheel assemblies had no maker’s mark or text on them.
Based on the hundreds of original Cobra and 427 Cobra steering wheels that I have looked at, the car production period plywood made of alternating types of wood, that created the two color layers appearance, was not as precision as plywood used since at least the 1980s. The light and dark colors of wooden plies in original production wheel rims are of various thicknesses, in relative terms some thin and some thick.
