Chrome two-eared spinners
I would really like to get the spinners correct for my car. The current offerings don't have (off) or (near) on them, plus the arrows have flights at their ends. I have this photo which a kind member of this forum posted some time ago, which I assume is correct for a leafspring Cobra.
I'm just asking the main UK manufacturer about the possibility of a special run of these - I am definitely not stating that this is a possibility, but if it were, do you think there might be a market for them?

If there is an AC Ace or Bristol forum or club around - I would also suspect some interest there.

Just out of interest, can anyone advise if all the leafspring cars used the spinner in the photo, or did any later ones use spinners which did not have the words '(NEAR)' or '(OFF)' on them?

This could be moving forward - could anyone give me an idea of actual numbers they might be interested in?
Thanks
Roger

Thanks Mark and Jeff - I'll give it a bit longer to allow more interest then see where we can go with the manufacturer.

Just a brief update - the manufacturer is now coming up with a figure to give us some idea of cost. As soon as I know any more I'll post it up.
Thanks chaps,
Roger

Contacts
Hi all,
I plan to send a pm to each of you who have expressed interest in the correct design of spinner for roadgoing splined hub Cobras, as since lockdown things are starting to move again and I will need to be able to contact you more easily than via forum posts and pms. Please keep a look out for an email - and hopefully it won't be too long before we get some movement.
Thanks!
Roger

Does anyone have an original or reeeeally good copy for a pattern? I have a friend who's an engineer and has a full machine shop for his man-cave. He sand casts, CNC, etc.

Roger, isn’t Gerry Hawkridge current working on some original style knock offs?
Maybe I’m dreaming that too but I thought he said he was.
I also have a couple originals I’d be willing to loan out. So long as I get them back of course!
Larry

Yes he is, Larry - I'm working with Gerry on these. I've been pushing for a set for some time, but I'm just an enthusiast - Gerry is an old mate, and has the industry contacts to get them made. The company we (he!) is using has supplied the UK industry with spinners for a long time, and are very experienced in their production.
