Maybe it's just the 'hot', relatively speaking, climate I'm in but the foot box cool air thing doesn't work for me! I had in my Austin Healey 3000 and like my current replica the air coming into the footbox area is like a 'blast furnace'. The ducting gets WAY overheated from header and engine compartment temperature and the air gets hot enough to literally burn your feet. I not only leave the trap doors shut where the air enters the footbox I disconnected the ducting so there is no way any air can even get in there!
My guess would be the COMPETITION cars did not use this ducting?
