Default Wiper arm spacing

Can anyone tell me the exact distance between the wiper arms measured from the center of one shaft to the center of the other. I would like to also hear from an owner with an original car to see where they were spaced if possible!

I could measure my Hi Tech if you want. Let me know.

Cool Wiper arm spacing

I have just purchased a completed Cobra replica that has no windshield wipers. In Texas I have to have them in order to get the title transferred and the car inspected. I purchased the Lucas wiper assembly and am unsure where to place the wiper shafts. Does anyone have any ideas or is everyone of these different? Thanks in advance.

Jim another member told me that originals were about 19 5/8" spaced apart.

CSX 3288 has the center of post to center of post as 20 inches. Each post is 16 3/4 inches from the outer edge of the uprights for the windshield. The back edge of the wiper ferrell (the chrome base) is 1 1/8 inches in front of the lower edge of the windshield frame. The rubber seal almost touches the ferrell.
