Talbot mirror fender location on Original car
Can anyone supply with dimentions for the location of a Talbot mirror located on the drivers side fender of an original car. I need to install one on my car and would like to be close before I drill through the body. Thanks, Sal

Sal, I believe there was and is no exact location. None of them really work anyway, they're only for looks. Original cars either had either no mirror, or one located on the door, or located on the fender where we usually think they look best. Being that the Cobra really wasn't a factory designed car, and they were put together by hand, I don't believe they had perfect and exact build procedures like a production car. Thus why they say no two Cobra's are the same. I would just sit in the car and have someone hold the mirror on the fender until it is close to almost working as possible, mark it and attach it.
Oh well, that's what I think. Don't knock yourself out over it.
Tim

Mickmate thanks for the picture, nice mirror too!
Tim you are right that even the originals are differant from car to car so there won't be any harm if I just give it a good eyeball!

mirrors
You might consider windshield post mounting of 2 Raydots on aluminumplate mounts. i recently did thid and after much adjusting they work annd will not interfere with wind wings and no holes in aluminum. Did these on my Autokraft as the Raydots were put on some S/C's and street 427's in the 60's. If you'd like pictures let me know, although I've never loaded apict to this site. Jim
