How many CSX2000+ owners here?
Hi everyone,
I am new here. I am wondering how many people on this site own an actual original Cobra? I don't own one either, but I am curous and learning more and more everyday about Cobras.
If you own one, please post some pictures.....thanks!

Not likely you will get an answer to that question.
But keep an eye out for members who have a Cobra logo next to their name, as that signifies an original owner.

Csx2498
Hello, My dad purchased CSX2498 in the summer of '68 and we have had it ever since. There are photos in my gallery, it is mostly original except for a set of 5 spoke magnesium dragonsnake wheels.
Later, Karl

Sal,
ahh...it signifies an owner of an original, not necessarily an original owner

Thanks guys! I just got into Cobra's. I have always liked the car..... they have a "mystic" about them. I was considering buying a Ferrari 360, but the Cobra never, ever goes out of style (looks outdated or old looking) like the Ferrari would.

There are photos of my 289 and 427 in my gallery. My 289 is the silver one in the photos. We sold the white 289 CSX 2149 a couple of years ago.
The magnesium American Racing wheels on 2498 were optional wheels for the Cobra. I have an original set I previously used on the track, but I have been advised that 40 year old magnesium wheels are probably not the best thing to stress like that, so they have been retired to street use alternating with the wire wheels.

Jim,
Your cars are great examples. Thanks again for the time and talk at SAAC this year. It is always a pleasure to meet owners willing to share their treasures.
Jack L, Bill G, Ned S, Jay B, you and some others are what this is all about. Sharing experiences and cars which most can only dream about. THANKS
Jeff

Jeff, It was nice to meet a fellow enthusiast at SAAC (of course, most everyone there had their particular passion). Thanks for the kind comments. Sharing our cars is the most fun for me, and also for many other owners, I think, whether their car is a replica or an original.
I look forward to nice weather to do more Cobraing. I spent several hours last week taking a couple of sports car fanatics (one of whom had just purchased my Z4) for rides in both Cobras, the Dino, and a new acquisition, a 1939 Chevy Hotrod. What a great day!
