Default Lower Radiator Hose S/C

Does anyone have any pictures showing the route the lower radiator hose takes on a 427 S/C

My memory is the lower radiator connection is on the pass. side but I can't find any clear pictures of the path taken

Thanks

Paul

You are right about the position.

The original CSX cars used a Chevy style input and output port. The upper left was attached to the motor and the lower right was attached to the water pump. Many are routed in odd ways from what I have seen first hand. Routing is most direct first and foremost.

See this unmolested FE upper via Mr Maxwell at SAAC31. Lower pipe was typically aluminum piping exiting the lower right radiator and going ~45 degrees across to the water pump.

Best of luck,
Jeff

Jeff,
Do you have your right's and left's mixed up? The FE outlet is Left Upper. The upper right is a little vent hose for the system???

Paul
On every radiator I've ever seen, the outlet to the engine is on the bottom and the inlet to the rad. is on the top. You have it bassackwards. The small hose on the right is to vent air out of the rad.

If its the same as a CSX4000 car, then the lower hose comes off the bottom passenger side of the radiator, oriented straight across towards the drivers side. Then , it immediately makes about a 30 degree bend back towards the engine, and passes diagonally through the X brace for the front suspension. As it becomes close to the water pump, it bends up and around back alittle, back towards the engine where it connects to the water pump.
