Default Aluminum or Carpet?

My Hi-Tech interior has carpet, but I like the cars with bare aluminum interiors. What about originality, with or without carpet?

I want to model the car after CSX3020.

Its a lot nicer to drive with insolation and carpet cause you can't here all of the rattles , squeeks whirs and bumps.I do not think they raced with carpet. just a guess.

All Comp and S/C 427s originally came with a fully carpeted floor and tunnel, with vinyl on the doors and rear bulkheads.

The racers could have done anything after they took delivery.

pmfranke mentioned the sound insulation with carpet. What if I sprayed the underside with Lizard Skin?

I like that sound, thus my wool carpet set has never been put in

I have seen cars both ways. When freshly done, both look fine, but after being driven a bit, the alloy interior ones tend to look shabby due to the scuffs on the aluminum from the normal course of driving. I would opt for the carpet.
