Maryland DMV help
I am detailing a '67 GT500 currently and am trying to fill in the years from '67-'75, at which point we have access to the owners. Thanks to Ron (computerworks) I was able to talk to the original owner about an hour ago, he still lives in Delaware. He bought the car in Texas new when stationed at Ft. Bliss in the Army and took it back with him when he was discharged. He owned it until '69, so we have filled in a couple years, and said he sold it to a guy in the Navy that was in Maryland. He said that guy had it on blocks for 2 years, probably until his time was up, but I now need to track down who he might be. Does the Maryland Vehicle bureau have records that go back to '69 ?? If so are you able to search a cars VIN# to locate owners?? It is available in Illinois, but not sure how far back we can go and am curious about Maryland. We are trying to determine how it came to Illinois and when it was wrecked and when the original engine was removed. Any help is appreciated.
