Default Mystery carb

Have a carb here that is proving difficult to ID. Speaking with Carl's and Jim Cowles (Shelbyparts.com) and they feel it is an original Cobra carb used with the 428 Aluminum intake. Holley tech had no reference for this list # I would really appreciate any info someone may have to share.

S2CS 9510 H
List 3948
Date 6B4
Primary 4756
Secondary 4560
Also ink stamped 4845,3948, and P10 on body.

Hoping to find the right home for the carb if it is genuine and not sell with my little Hipo 289 where it was found. Thanks for the space and hope to get a reply.

Just some comments, after looking thru some files..

The List R-3948 is later than the Cobra time frame list numbers.

That list number does not appear in the Holley master list...but I'm thinking you knew that already.

The only S2CS p/n was on the '66 GT-350; all Cobra carbs were C5AE...
...and that GT-350 one was an R-3259

The 3-digit date code does place it as pre-1970

What would be the difference between a 3259 and this carb? Why would Holley have no listing for the carb? How can I find out more? Maybe craig Conely at Paradise wheels if you feel it is a GT350 carb he is the man. Appreciate your response. Miss the Kirkham
