Original clock location
Where would a clock be placed on the dash? Either AC or cobra. Anyone have a pic of clock in original location?

OF the pics I've seen of the clocks, they are usually on the dash in front of the passenger seat, where the glove box would be in a newer replica.

The clock goes in the center cluster,at the bottom on 289 cars. Might be the same on the AC Ace as well but I'm not sure. I don't have a photo but on this link, about 2/3's of way down, there's a drawing showing the clock location.

Thanks guys. Larry, that is a nice web ste you posted. It gives the drawing, a numbered description and there is even a pic or two. Great job. In my quest i foud a pic that had it the clock just to the left of the glove box and beside the two switches closest to the glove box. can not decide which place i like best. since my speedo is in the center (SPF MKIII) I think I will put one next to the glove box. Any thoughts?

The clock was positioned as the last (the only) instrument in the third row of six instruments (3-2-1) just over the shift and central console in the 289. In the 427 (my was 1965) there was no clock at all. I could send you a picture, but I need your e-mail. The photo is of bad quality but you can read it.

I wear a watch, but apparently I'm not with the times. Apparently I should be using my cell phone to tell the time. Or perhaps a pda (not that I have one of those).

I have my pda, cell phone, computer, navigation, etc all in one on my phone! Don't use it much except to talk but it's there.
And I wear my TAG watch also!
As far as the clock goes, I'd rather not have it on an S/C layout but by the glovebox is as good as any if your going to have one.
