Default Royal Shelby

I was talking to a tech guy out in CA the other day about my air impact wrench and he asked what I was trying to do and I explained about my ERA axle nuts . He said he used to work on some original Cobras and asked me if I had ever heard of a Royal Cobra ... and said there were only two ever made . I can`t find any reference anywhere in my stuff that shows a Royal Cobra . I tried Google and nothing . Has anyone ever heard of this critter and if it existed , what is it ??? I mentioned the Super Snake and he said it wasn`t that .

Default Royal Cobra

No such thing as a "Royal Cobra". Many versions nicknamed "King Cobra".

There was, back in the 70's, a guy in the SF Bay area by the name of Royal Krieger (only guy I ever
met named "Royal") who used to own the 289 "Flip-Top" racing Cobra (now owned by Rich Mason).

Perhaps this guy serviced some of Royal's cars (Royal did not strike me as the kind of guy
who could work on his own cars)?

regards,

Jeff

Default Royal Pontiac?

Wasn't there a Royal Pontiac or similar dealership in Michigan during the 60's that was famous for performance upgrades? Maybe they did a couple of Cobras?
Just thinkin' out loud.....
