In order to help keep this thread alive - what material were the 427 street roadster seats covered in - leather or vinyl?

Street cars were all leather seats. Comp and SC's were all naugahyde (vinyl).

Probably as close as you're going to get, but it doesn't have quite as square of a grain. I tried extensively to find a match for the original so I could replace some pieces that would be alongside or near old original ones - so it was critical to have a good match - and I couldn't find the exact same thing. Ended up having to find pieces taken out of another car...

Question

Ok, so the 289 cars had leather on the dash... if I understood earlier posts in this thread. Any specs like thickness or weight? How is leather sold/specified?
