Although I'm under the impression that you are not serious, you realize that there are at least 4 people on this thread that have the current Cobra registry if you have a question about a particular serial number. But if you were truly serious about your question, I suspect that you would have contacted Ned directly.

I don't know that I would contact Ned right off the bat if I was in mrbruces shoes. Once you do that, and it sounds like the cat is out of the bag all ready, it takes it to a whole new level. Perhaps a little research on your own, if you have the skills, would be warranted initially.

Bill has worn that gag thin over the years, implying secret knowledge over this or that. ..and he'll correct me if I am wrong with the source information.
Regardless, most of this thread is content-free and really should just be kept light.
No one knows nuthin'...unless Uncle Bruce has found one of those few missing Cobras in Pittsburgh that he, map and I talked about at SAAC-34.
Only da' bunn.... oops, forget about it.

Ron, thank you for finally explaining the whole "Da Bunnies" thing.
While I'm the first guy to make sarcastic remarks, jokes, banter and such; however, if that is indeed the source for the whole "Da Bunnies" gag, then it seems a little sad that it sources from any persons daughter's death. I'm not familiar with the story, but that's only my humble opinion. I know Bill is a good guy and I'm not blaming him for anything.
Back to the funny thread about an air car. My apologies.

It's quite a fascinating story behind the womans death and the car involved. Read's like a novel, I'm waiting for the movie.

Not really the same point but related I think.
To my knownledge famous CSX 2136 was a last auction black as usual, had flared rear fenders etc. as usual known.
http://www.csxinfo.net/web/modules/x....php?album=162
For some years now and just a few days ago I spotted a blue 289 at the SPA Six Hours race last weekend and to my surprice I can picture CSX 2136 on the right footbox!!
Now it's your turn to give me some news about this situation.
Thanks in advance.

There is quite a bit written about CSX2136 in the SAAC Registry.
To answer your query in summary, the car was relatively destroyed by fire in the old days and there was a dispute over who had the "correct" remains.
Angliss built a new car around one set of debris and the owner had it stamped CSX2136. Details are in the Registry, but suffice to say that there is a CSX2136 and a CSX2136R out there.

..looks right.
2566 had the flared rear fenders and Registry indicates it was sold to a fellow in the UK a few years ago.

The footbox tag you pictured is not consistent with the design and font used by A.C. Cars during the production of Cobras in the '60's
But to begin with, cars as early as CSX2136 would not have had a footbox tag from new.
