Hey Ron,
When the “four lane” bypassed Omaha about a dozen years ago the town felt it. You can get low octane gas, lunch, a tire fixed or mail a letter in Downtown Omaha (maybe a little more stuff). I’m outside the city limits so not technically one of the 169 residents.
I’m used to being away from services. In Central California we were 10 miles from a gas station so we knew what to expect.
On the other hand, Harrison and Branson keep growing.
Give me a shout if you you’re going to make it back for a visit.

Kerry,
I sure will. My cousin's name is Richard Sanders and he has two of my old cars. The Cobra that I raced and my 1965 Comet. Give him a call and he and his wife would be happy to meet you. When I was last there the population was 91, so in 50+ years Omaha hasn't grown to much. I knew they had bypassed it with the new 65. But they sure ruined Branson in my opinion.

Great pictures and actually some of the places haven't changed that much since I was last back there. Thanks for posting them as some of them bring back a lot of good memories.

Great pictures Tim! Great time also. Made it home before the rain started, hated to miss the tail gating!
Here's some video from the cruise. It wouldn't allow me to upload the HD version. Something about being too big!
I have about 4 hours of video, this is just a little section of some of the roads we went down.

An early head's up that we're planning our annual trip to NW Arkansas 10/23 - 10/26. Hope you can make it! This annual trip takes us on some beautiful scenic highways in Nw Arkansas. If you've never been there, it's quite a treat. Just see the previous pages for some great pics of past cruises. Basically, we all travel to Harrison, Ar on Thursday, we cruise about 200 miles on Friday and again on Saturday taking different routes both days. Lots to see and best of all, the parking lot conversations.

Have fun and I wish I could join you. I may be coming back to Omaha one of these days to visit my cousin. I haven't been back there since the mid 60s, so I know that Harrison and a lot of places have changed. But I always loved the Ozarks when we were living on one of my Grand Father's farms. I think I have walked about every mile of them.

Sounds great - We've not had a coupe before, but more than welcome I will post details as we get closer....I usually reserve a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn in Harrison, AR and we use it for home base. Ample parking for trailers and cars as well as a great lobby for wrapping up the day with a Margarita :-)

Great!!! May or may not trailer as we are so close. Recently changed out the ECU and program for the Roush injection and it has been much more reliable than the Accel ECU and program. We have taken 3 trips out and back that are 2 hours one way with no problems.

Sorry I missed all of you too. Trip went well except for a wife with a dislocated elbow that happened about a week before the trip to London (horse riding fall). She toughed it out and came with me anyway.
Thanx for the comments on the Daytona. It is a fun car and you are protected from rain and it has A/C. (This came in handy on the trip to the mill). Didn't drag it up in London to protect independent rear end and axle.
Looking forward to your cruise thru Arkansas and plan to meet up with you all.

Ok, can I get a show of hands on who plans to come so I can reserve a block of rooms at the hotel? Thanks, hope to see you there.
