Thursday--November 4th
* Meet and Greet Party 6:00 to 9:00pm will be in the open parking lot of the host hotel-Palm Beach Gardens Embassy Suites. Click here to register online or call 800-362-2779 and give the code DSC. Rate is $109/night which includes a cooked-to-order breakfast. The cutoff date is Oct 5th for registrations; all unreserved room will be released to the public on the 5th. Here is the link for the hotel and directions. Be sure to park your cobra in the designated covered parking. The free Meet & Greet party will be in the outside parking lot next to Backdrafts rig at 6:00pm. Free pizza and drinks sponsored by Backdraft Racing for all active members & guest. Friday --November 5th
* Palm Beach international Track PBIR Event in Jupiter, FL gates open at 7am. Be one of the first 40 paid entrants and you might win a free future HOD event. Click HERE to register-drivers gourmet lunch is included. Join us for a fun day of high performance track driving. For those of you who would like track instruction and only have one roll bar on your cobra, HOD offers a rental Corvette with instructor to get you orientated to high speed driving. It may be possible to share the car with others. If you are interested, give Henry Gilbert a call at 800-453-5506 for details. The official car show will be held at the track. Please be in position on the skid pad before 9am. The annual membership meeting will be held in the tent during lunch break at 12:30pm. Click here to register for the car show. Friday –November 5th
* Dinner at the Jupiter Civic Center in Calin Park 6:30 to 10:00pm.
CR Chicks will be catering the dinner at the Civic Center, which is on the Atlantic beach. This is a casual beach evening and it may be cool with a sea breeze coming from the Atlantic. Drawings for the door prizes and awarding of the winner of the People’s Choice & Best Track Time trophy will be after dinner. Buffet (Wood fired rotisserie chicken, penne pasta with tomato basil cream sauce, Caesar salad and home-made bread with chocolate banana cream pie) $10/person and the DSCC will provide beer, wine and sodas for dinner.
Saturday --November 6th
* DSCC Cruise to view the Solomon’s Castle and lunch-we depart the Embassy Suites at 8:00am. The Castle tour tour is $10/person and lunch-about $8-will be in the Spanish Galleon. Bring cash, as they do not take credit cards. Click here to register for the cruise. We expect to return from the cruise about 4:00pm. The lead cobra and the tail end cobra will have 2-way radio contact in case anyone has a breakdown. A dinner caravan will depart the hotel at 6pm for a mini-car show/dinner at Carrabba’s.
Sunday –November 7th
* Bonus Event: Car show at Cars of Dreams in Jupiter, departing hotel at 9:15am. This is a great opportunity to attend a fantastic high-end museum. The Nov 7 charity show is sponsored by the Palm Beach County Sherriff’s Office to benefit their ‘Shop With A Cop’ kid’s event. The plan is to start a 9:15am caravan from Embassy Suites to enter the show as a group. If you would like to enter the show, click here to print out a registration form. Fill out & mail in the $30 pre-registration form-they are only doing mail ins, or you can register at the gate for $35. Registration includes 2-tickets to the Cars of Dreams museum & the Model A museum next door. Pre-registration also includes a free t-shirt. If you want to attend as a spectator, it is $10 per person. Lunch is available on site for $5. This is your best chance to see a fantastic collection. Cars of Dreams will close next year for renovations and won’t re-open until sometime in 2012.
