Mike.... No need to apologize.. I meant that ... At the meetings...I'm the stuffy Bastid that tries to keep the ol' train on the track. I didn't mean any thing about the discussion here on the forums. My bad, I'm kinda illiterate and find it difficult to comunicate effectively in writin'.
You see, at the meetings.....we all get distracted very quickly with discussions about car stuff......next thing you know weve been sitting around for a few hours and nothin gets accomplished.
I'll keep posting updates...
Sincerely,
Rob

We met again last night......
It seems that we've accomplished most of the major milestones..... now we need to focus on the smaller details.
Instead of weekly meetings, we are now planning to meet every 2 weeks. The next meeting will be at The Bogey Inn, Tuesday April 12, Approx 7:00 -ish. Anyone interested is welcome to join.
The London Cobra Show bank account currently has positive cash flow with registration fees coming in. The Hotels have reported a good number of booked rooms as well. ...with some 50-70 rooms already reserved by attendies. At this early stage....I thought this was an amazing turn-out!
....Rick, did I miss anything...?
Sincerely,
Rob

THANKS FOR THE UPDATE---- I HOPE YOU GUYS DO NOT MIND, BUT I HAD THIS POSTED IN A LARGE PUBLICATION THAT COVERS THE CLEVELAND AREA, ALL OF NORTHERN OHIO AND PARTS OF PENN.
I THINK WHERE I PUT "HOSTED BY THE OHIO COBA CLUB" IS NOT TOTALLY CORRECT. I HOPE THAT DOES NOT OFFEND ANYONE.
Big Al
Hey --Al could you please post this for me??
On the 23, 24, 25 and 26 of June --- The Ohio Cobra Club is hosting a huge gathering of original and replica Shelby Cobras. This event will take place in Columbus, Ohio. On the 25th the group moves to the "London Ohio Strawberry Festival". Drag racing, a road ralley and rides are some of the activities planed for this year. As in the past, this is a fund raiser for Cystic Fibrosis and it promises to be a exciting weekend.
If you have any questions please call Mike Braatz at 1-330-334-6222

You go Mike!
Encourage people to register!!!! At the very least, register on the site. It makes it SO much simpler to have a good idea how many will be there. Even if you are a 50/50 shot, register on the web site. If you can, send in the registration fee. But at the very least, register on the site. Remember, every dime goes to charity.
Thanks
Rick

Yep, just send it to Frank. I think at this point that is still going on. Of course our account is now open so payable to the Ohio Cobra Club should be fine as well.
I just paid my fee Tuesday!
Thanks

Mike,
The registration fee is only $50!...
but for the charity...you can donate more if you would like.
Mail the reg fee to the address on:
http://www.londoncobrashow.com
go to the registration page..either vendor or participant....its the same addy.
I would post it here but I'm at home on an old dial-up 'puter which will crash if I open a new 2nd browser window to get the info....
BTW.....the publication post looks good to me!! It is greatly appreciated!! You get 2 adda-boys!
Sincerely,
Rob

Reminder....this weeks meeting will be at the Bogey Inn on Tuesday April 12. ... aprox 7:00pm.
I'm planning on chowing there. If the weather is nice....I'm bringing the Cobra.
I sincerely extend an invitation to everyone.
Not sure all of the topics that we'll address..... but would like to go over a few:
the raffle car
posters and flyers
Magazine ads
media exposure
vendor updates
general time line managment
more event details and updates
OCC legal stuff (bleauk!)....filing status, insurance...etc
and of course...the prescribed amount of casual bench racing.
I love this job!!!
hope 2 CYA there!

MEETING UPDATE: NEW FLASH!
Another great, if not long, meeting. A recap for you and some assistance needed.
For those of you that remember the Bogey Inn from last year, it is now all done! Looks great inside and out and has a good full menu. Just a little Bogey plug there.
Topics (amongst bench racing and other activities):
- Insurance and Liability. With out going into to much detail a question was raised on protecting the OCC members and officers from liability that arises through our hosting of the event. That will be taken care of through the liability coverage and by-laws of the corporation that indemnify the members and officers of OCC. Please don't ask me to explain all this, I am not a lawyer!!
- Dyno. Does any one remember the name and have the contact information for the dyno guy from DVSF II and III? The one last year was fine but it took a while to set up each car and if you had pin drives you where out of luck. That is why I am looking for the prior guy.
- Photographer. The photographer that did those GREAT Cobra portraits last year was contacted and responded that last year 'did not work for him'. Don't know what that means. Any interest or input around this area?
- Payment methods. Send us cash, check, or use paypal (credit and debit I beleive). Check out the details at www.londoncobrashow.com
- Event updates. Meetings continue with London and others and all is going well.
- Security at night. Yep, it will be there. In what level or capacity I do not yet know.
- Trailer parking. In the Wal-Mart lot just like at DVSFIV.
- Tent. Big, close by and up all weekend. Details still in the works.
- Advertising. What for us in Kit Car and Kit Builders in upcoming issues!
- t-shirts and stuff. Working on it. We have some one lined up but IMHO we can do better.
- Attendance update. Aside from the ones on the website, those yet to be entered and the many that will wait to sign up, I read an email from another larger club where they are all caravanning down! Another 25 cars and 50 people in one day. At this early juncture, that is very cool. Again, I would encourage folks to register. After May 15 the price goes up!
What else??? I know we touched on a number of different subjects?
Thanks
Rick
