NOTE: Parking can be scary on the hill (the clown next to you can hit your car when he opens his door because of the severe hill angle in some areas and it's dusty) so if you value
your Cobra/Shelby I would advise contacting Norcal SAAC to see if they have spaces.
Here's their announcement and contact number:-----------------------------
"It's getting close to automotive nirvana again: the Monterey Historics - August 15-17 at Laguna Seca. The Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races presented by Toyota will celebrate its 35th anniversary this year by celebrating highlights from the event’s illustrious past. The event will take place on August 15-17 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and will salute the Alfa Romeo, which was the first marque to be featured at the Historics in 1975.
To commemorate the event, a variety of featured marques from the past 34 Monterey Historic races will be recognized during the weekend of exciting and highly competitive races. Legendary driver Mario Andretti will be the official guest of honor for the event.
Nor Cal has a limited number of corral parking passes for members purchasing their entry ticket through the club. Admission price to attend the races at Laguna Seca on Saturday, August 16, will be $65.00 per person. Members wishing to return for the races on Sunday, August 17 can buy their tickets at the gate for $55.00 per person (a really bad idea) or contact Laguna directly and pay just $45.00. (1-800-327-SECA or
www.laguna-seca.com) The Saturday corral pass is mailed out with your Saturday admission ticket, with returnees on Sunday requiring a different, specfic pass to enter the general parking corral.
Cars must be in popular car show condition, be of a performance nature and have a Blue Oval lineage (that means FORD in case some GM guy is reading this). The corral is located on the leftover asphalt and hard pack that makes up the no longer used and very much missed Turn 3, but now is a great viewing area named 'The Andretti Hairpin'. Send in your ticket order and payment ASAP, and make sure your phone number and correct mailing address is enclosed. Also, we'll need to know which car you'll be gracing us with. Space is limited - first come first served.
If you plan to attend on Sunday and wish to park your show car in the Sunday corral, please be sure to make a note of that with your entry. Sunday corral passes are a 'no charge' item (again - Sunday race passes must be purchased separately through Laguna Seca).
