Midwest Ford Fest Bumped To Sunday, 9/14
The Mid-America Cobra Club tried to pull off the Midwest Ford Fest today in Kansas City, and while it was dry for the majority of time we were at the track, the intermittant rains never allowed the KCIR staff to get the track dry. And even though it wasn't raining at KCIR, I guess it was coming down in buckets around the rest of the city, so that really hurt both participant and spectator attendance.
So, we decided to cancel the event for today and move all activities to tomorrow, where the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, temps in the 60's with lower humidity, and only a 20% chance of rain.
If you were one of the few who came out today, hang onto your ticket stubs because that will get you back in tomorrow. For everybody else, I know that we are up against church and the Chiefs, but I hope that some of you can make it out anyway.
Gates open at 8am for racers and car show guys, and at 10am for spectators. The full revised schedule is at www.MidwestFordFest.com.
