New Trigo wheels (black centers)

These wheels are in new condition having only been run for 20 slow practice laps. They are 10.5 x 15 and 8.5 x 15. $1200 for the set without hubs and spinners.

I need a 6-Pin wheel that works with a Contemporary offset/ Do you or anyone else know what the differences may be?

I saw your post about that a couple of days ago and went out to check the pin configuration. These wheels are set up for both GM and Ford 5 pin (lug bolt) spacing. I don't know if Trigo makes a 6 pin wheel.

I did some research and found out your wheels will not fit my car. Thanks and best of luck!

Here's the page on the Trigo website for the replicas. Trigo

Just curious, the Trigo site calls out 7 1/2" and 9 1/2" wheel widths. Are the listed widths measured across the flanges or in the tire bead seat (which is where wheel width is determined). Or does Trigo offer other widths than what's noted on their web site?

Sal Gerace 04-29-2003 07:04 PM

7 1/2 and 9 1/2 are the standard for Cobra's. I do not know where that measurement is taken from though. Differant makes and setups may require a backspace change. Call them if you need something differant.

I measured them across the outer wheel flanges, so you are probably correct that they are the standard 7 1/2 & 9 1/2 wheels. Sorry for the confusion.

Trigo's didn't fit my CC Cracker. Trigo uses one offset which is wrong for many Contemporary cars despite what Lynn parks will tell you. Trigo's are all indeed 7.5 and 9.5.. all have 3.5" of offset. Many Contemporary cars use a 4-4.5" offset. It doesn't seem like much but it is if you have to also factor in the adapters (which cracker doesn't)..

Trigo makes a 6 pin wheel as well. These will fit the ford pattern, 5 on 4.50" and the chevy / jaguar pattern which is 5 on 4.75". they have two sets of pin holes to allow this to happen. Trigo also makes a 6 pin ERA wheel. sorry for my .02.. I got what I have learned the hard way. Hopefully you won't need to..

Jim,
? #1.) Are your wheels still available?
? #2.) Can you give me more info re: pin drive holes, and backspacing as I would put them on my late model SPF, which I understand may be different from the earlier models.
I am looking for a set of 15" wheels for track events cause I don't like the look of the 17"s.
You can email me at: tml427@bellsouth.net, or fax (561) 540-2535

Jim: If the wheels are still available I'll buy 'em. Please email me at timsullivan4@cox.net and let me know how much the shipping is to Southern California and how you want payment arranged. Thank you.
