Anyone interested in a 390 block?
I have a 1967 390FE block that's for sale....C7ME-A cast...high nickel content...standard bore. The block has been blasted and cleaned...it's also been sonic tested (I have the paperwork from that) and also has been wet-particle magnafluxed in almost every area. Slight pitting in #1 cylinder...machine shop said .030" would clean it up. Sonic testing reveals that you could probably go .060" with no problems. I'm selling the block, main caps of course, and a front timing cover. $100.

Ok,
I've seen these blocks before... I'm sure you measured the bore and know it is a 390 but C7ME-A is a 428 bock code. No wonder it will bore beyond .060

Yeah, I know it's a 390....but the cylinder walls look awfully thick...I was kinda excited when I found it...with it being a 428 block code...I probably should keep the thing...but I really have no need for it now.

FWIW I used fed-ex freight to ship a 428 block to AK. Think it was around $100 from CT. Strapped and wrapped to a pallet.G.

Hey John....I didn't receive an email or a private message from you....
BTW....why don't you let me send you several pics of the block and timing cover first....you may not like the condition of the block. I'll feel better about selling it to you if you have seen it first.
