I'm very interested. Could you please email some photos and your phone number to byc@kconline.com ?

Thanks

Scott

Also, does it come with the side curtains??

How tall are you Scott? Have you ever had it on your car? Don't think it will work for me because of my height, but just curious.

Tim, I talked at length to the Unique owner about hardtops. He said because of the nuances of different Cobra shapes, they needed to be custom-fitted to each car.

However, I have no first-hand experience.

Curious if you found out if the top would work on a Unique FIA?

Thanks Clay. I am 6' 1".

I have heard that they need to be custom fitted also. I emailed Unique yesterday and I plan on calling them today.

Brrrrr it is below zero here in Indiana today........sure could use a hardtop and a heater

clayfoushee 01-22-2004 05:35 AM

580, You could probably make it work, but getting in would be tough.

Your car's beautiful, BTW.

Unique580hp 01-22-2004 07:30 AM

Thanks Clay for the compliment. Yours is gorgeous also. Yours almost looks like it is aluminum! Wow a 427 side oiler as well..drool drool

Scott and Tim,

My car is painted in Mercedes Brilliant Silver. It does look alot like an aluminum car in bright light.

Unique580hp 01-22-2004 04:45 PM

Nuts

I just got an email from Unique's Alan Weaver. I asked him about fitting a hardtop to a finished Unique.

Here is his quote:

"I would not recommend trying to fit a hardtop on a finished car, it takes alot of fitting and you have only one shot at getting it right "

I'm not trying to mess up the sale of your hardtop. I would have bought it in a second if it bolted right on. It is still an excellent price for someone that is still finishing their Cobra.

Have a great day (-10 degrees here)

clayfoushee 01-22-2004 04:55 PM

Yep, that's what he told me, but I didn't want to spoil the party, thus my careful choice of words in my posting above. As I said above, it probably could be done for anyone who wanted it badly enough, but probably only on a Unique 427SC.

sllib 01-23-2004 07:46 AM

That's me. Unfinished 427 S/C. Call me or e-mail me. 757-651-3577 or sllib@att.net.

Good luck Bill....guess no one's heard a peep out of the advertiser since his first post.

hardtop

If you have problems, we have a "step by step guide " that is actuall very simple for fitting our top to any COBRA that we send with our tops that are not for a particular manufacturer.

Thanks, Clay. I've been out of town for a while for a funeral, but I've sent my final message to Scott Miller. I can't help but wonder if he's one of those dreaded trolls we all laugh at (you know "427 SO HP new in box, $3500.00")until it becomes our turn in the barrel, or if he's just not in a hurry to sell. Too bad. His timing was perfect for me.

clayfoushee 01-26-2004 07:24 AM

Bill,

Yeah, it is too bad, if you're right in the middle of your project. Good luck, maybe he's real and will actually show up some day.

Unique580hp 01-26-2004 10:27 AM

I've received some emails from him, so he at least exists. Next time he does, I'll tell him to email you Bill.

I'll also tell him to check his posts here so that he can reply.
