WTB - 4 15" wheels for Cobra
Just got a B&B 427 Cobra. Has new 17" Mustang Cobra wheels and Kumho tires, but I like the look of 15" wheels like Torq Thrusts (with the gray center) or Halibrands. Would like to buy or trade. 15's can be with or without tires.

How about some Compomotive wheels? I have a set of four wheels, and they even come with VR-rated Goodyear Eagle tires! Granted, the tires are worn down to the wear strips, but they hold air. $1000 for all four. I believe I have some specs on backspacing somewhere on the "Parts For Sale" Thread......

Sorry, I've not heard of that brand or style of wheel. Any pics?

What size, backspace and bolt pattern are your wheels?
Thanks

My wheels are 17x8's with 4.5" bolt circle, 5 bolt. The tires are 235/45HR17 on front and 255/45HR17 on rear. I'd have to measure the backspace.

What do you want for the wheels? Are they chrome or polished aluminum?

$900 for wheels and tires, plus shipping. They are polished aluminum and of course were just mounted and balanced. 180 miles on them, total.

How about a set of mini lites ? These are the type of wheel used on the old trans am mustangs. Just took them off a cobra today and put on a set of trigo knockoffs (which were not cheap). This was on a buddy's car so if you are interested in the race car look (vintage), I'll check a price. I believe they are 15x7.5 and 15x9 s and they have good radial tires on them to boot (bfgoodrich radial TA's I think)

Specs on my Compomotive 15" wheels:
Fronts: 15 x 7 1/2" or 8". Tires are Goodyear Eagle 225 60 VR 15
Front offset: 4 1/2". 5 inch spacing, I think.
Rears : 15 x 9 1/2 0r 10". Tires are Goodyear Eagle 255 60 VR 15
Rear offset: 5 1/2" Same spacing, 5 inches.
Tires are directional rotation; tires are worn down and showing wear bars, but they hold air. I replaced them with polished trigo wheels and Dunlop GT Qualifiers. Great for my STREET car.
Compomotives have a lot of nooks and crannies, and are a BEAR to clean. I am not good at posting pictures, but someone on CobraCountry.com will have pics of these wheels. Maybe even someone HERE at ClubCobra can post pics of Compomotives.
Reduced price: $800, shipping included!

I have a set of 15" Torque Thrust "D" wheels. I can check for sure that their 15x7 & 15x8 with back spacing of 3- 3/4". The tires are Good Year Eagle II. Wheels & tires are in great condition. You can see them on the car in my gallery. If your interested I can take single, close up's of each tire/wheel.

I have a HUGE favor to ask!!!
swainwb,
I have a hugs favor to ask and I would owe you the world if you were in any way able to help me out in anyn way at all. I am getting married 20 minutes outside of Wichita, KS on May 15th, 2004. My fiance's dream car is a cobra - it is the only thing in his life I ever have to compete with. However, since we are justb starting out, it will be a while before we will be able to get one.
I was hoping to be able to arrange to perhaps hire one for us to leave the wedding in, but I know that there are a lot of dependables as I am sure your car is your pride and joy. We will be spending the night at The Inn at Willowbend in Wichita, though we wouldn't need to drive there in the Cobra.
Anyway, I'll stop babbling now, if there is ANY way this might be possible, please name your price. If you could give me a call on (660) 853-9698 or e-mail me at s211727@mail.nwmissouri.ied that would be fantastic!
Thanks a million,
Carly Michael
