Isn't this the one that was on EBAY that I was high bidder on untill the last minute?
I believe that EBAY has a policy against SHILL BIDDING!
Search Help tips
Shill Bidding
Shill bidding is the deliberate use of secondary registrations, aliases, family members, friends, or associates to artificially drive up the bid price of an item. (This is also known as "bid padding.")
Shill bidding is strictly forbidden on eBay. eBay members found shill bidding may receive warnings or indefinite suspensions of their accounts.

Neil, who do you think you are ? Are you up-set that I turned down your offer to buy the valve covers, pan & air cleaner because it was way too low ? I in no way did this "shill bidding" your talking about. I've never heard of it. Let's say I did, do you really think I would up the price only $ 2.50 !!!! The winning bidder asked me if he could back out , his wife was mad he spent more money. I said I understood, no problem. He also said he would send me them money to re-list the item. I told him that I would send you notice from ebay for a "second chance offer". Well, I sure won't now ! Look at my feed back on ebay, I've sold many item's thru the years with no probems. Now you come a long & accuse me of doing something I did not do. You've been the biggest pain in the butt, you should be ashamed of your self.
Maybe your mama should give you a spanking !

Neil,
I don't think you got shilled I think you got SNIPED, which I do all the time on EBAY. I rarely put a bid on an item until the last 2 minutes or so. Most of the time it works but some times it doesn't.
I am sure it annoys the person I sniped but if they had put a higher maximum bid then Ebay would automaticaly outbid me and they would still win,but they didn't and they lost, tough s**t, that is the way the game is played, if you don't like it don't play. I have been sniped by others but didn't get all worked up and accuse the seller of foul play. If you really wanted the Turkey pan then you should have payed what he wanted instead of waiting to try and get the good deal and crying foul when someone else outplayed you.
Relax there are more Turkey pans out there. Maybe you should call Finishline and Ante up the 2 bills if you need one so bad, instead of making accusations that you have no proof of.
Have a good one,
Dan

I apologize! It just seemed too coincidental that a person from the same town you live in, outbid me at the last moment. I have been sniped before and I have no problem with that! IF you were going to send me a second offer WHY did you go on CC FIRST and ask for a higher price.
When I have a set price in mind for a item on EBAY I set my reserve price as such. Again I apologize if I wronged you unjustly.
I don't want to get into flaming I enjoy CC too much!

Avanti-176 could not have worded it better. I found out that the high bidder does live in my city. He is starting a "Midstates" cobra which is here in Ne. The reason for posting it here on CC is I wanted to see if someone would offer a better price, if not, I was thinking of giving you a second chance. I'm not obligated to sell to the second highest bidder anyway. I bought it from Tony Branda (cobranda.com), look at their price, it's $209.95 + shipping. I would have sold it for my "starting" price of $150 but I want to see if I can get a better price here. Several weeks ago one started at $140 & sold for $177 and it had been on a car but, was still in good condition. Mine is brand new.
My advice to you is,... don't bark up someone's tree before, you know the facts. All it can do is get you in trouble
I accept your apology & no hard feelings.
Kevin
