Sideoiler block, crank and parts
1968 W 427 sideoiler block dated 8J20. This is not a service block (no ribs) and it is not a marine block. I believe it came out of either a Shelby or a Cougar GT/E. The crank has the $ and the screw in plugs. I believe the crank is std and I was told the block is as well. I wonder about the block and if it is standard. The block is rebuildable but it will not be std unless sleeved. The block has a window that has been repaired correctly and the block magnafluxed ok but there is a small bulge from the problem at the bottom of one of the cylinders. The bulge does not go through the wall or anything and the piston will not travel this far but I would have it sleeved to be sure. The crank is not cracked or repaired. I also have a pair of NOS COBRA LEMANS valve covers (camera finish and finned). I have a deep sump oil pan with pickup, New ARP rod bolts, new solid lifters, new main bearings, three cams, of which I know at least one is new and still in the box. an oil pump that I believe is new. I have the water neck for the 427, the pulleys and alternator brackets. The pulleys have been blasted and powder coated gloss black. I will sell all of it for a very fair price as I am forced to purchase a nice new ZF transaxle for my Pantera. There are no rods, heads (were med riser and unmolested but I sold them to a friend about a year ago). I also have no intake as I sold it as well. I would like to sell the rest of it as a whole collection.
thanks,
Marc
