I live inn Phoenix, I see you have a 460 in your FFR and want to know if the cooling is a problem in the Phoenix area with the 460. I am looking at www.crateengine.com and they come highly recommended. They have 460 Ford crate with 660 c.i. that produce a whopping 1050 HP and I am looking for FFR owners (especially in Phoenix) for some advice on heat and cooling and putting this kinda engine in a FFR....or I may go with one of their smaller 460 crates (with like 750HP)
Any advice will be appreciated
Thanks

What's up with the TKO? Reciepts, miles, shifter location, warranty? Tough trans to blow a gear in...what happened? Thanks, Jeff

The TKO is a higher torqu tranny than the standard tremec. Unfortunatelly for me I was mislead when I purchased it and it can't handle the torque that my motor puts out, especially on the track. The tranny has 2000 miles on it and will be sold as is. I would be happy to crack the case open and let you take a look inside. The TKO makes a fine street car tranny for almost anything, but since I am turning my car into full race I am going with the Jerico. Heat is not a problem with the tranny but if your going to put a 460 in your car then I would get a huge radiator if you want to drive it between May and October. If you want to talk further send me an email with your phone number.
Thanks

I am a little surprised about the torque issue since, depending on what model you have, a TKO is rated at 425 to over 600 foot pounds of torque. Did you have an authorized Tremec repair shop do the work and if so can I get a faxed copy of the receipt? Thanks

The TKO is only rated for 425 and the new ones go up to 600 and no I didn't have someone else do the repair as working on a tremec is simple work so I did it myself.
Thanks

Got it still?
1- Is it TKO or 3550? 31 spline out?
2- Since you are doing Jerico, do you have bell, clutch or anything else to dispose of? Jerico should be great by the way, but no overdrive.
3- If you haven't found a Jerico, I know where you can get DR4 for $1,700 ready to go with clutch.
Let me know, I was about to plunk my money down on something else. Thanks, Mike (HHStang@dwcinet.com)

Yes it is a TKO with a 31spline out put shaft. And yes I do have a clutch, pressure plate, trowout bearing and arm that I won't be using. As for the Jerico I would be interested in hearing more.
Thanks
