Maybe I'm just dumb, (I know, I know... that's an understatement...) but I don't get the connection with the cover story in the pictures......

Just the date stamp...BUT. the article does make the whole thing seem fishy, huh? Just like the Pepperkornski post.
Buyer beware,

Come on guys - I know there's history here but the photo's clearly take this whole thing a step forward - at least to me. Anyone who buys the engine should go pick it up in person - that's all! I know these engines and it looks complete and "real" as best can be seen in pics.
Jason, your antics early are clearly hurting you now no matter what you do. Next time smile in your pictures - Cobra owners usually have rather permanent grins on their faces.
If it is for what it is priced at that - would be Good deal.

I have corresponded with Jasonj23 and, in fact, helped him create and upload the pics. The newspaper was his idea... a little satire to prove to the prior skeptics that, on that day, he actually had the parts for sale....since he got so much unwarranted flak the first time around.

Thanks Ron...perhaps you should have posted earlier. I thought this sounded familiar...since the server data loss, its hard to figure out. Still, the newspaper choice was not the best...

Just a note I have dropped the price. Thanks for the support some of you have shown. I see a lot of complaining about my use of a newspaper to show current date. Do any of you have a better way to help show a little proof of location and date? I would appreciate any advice given. price now $5000.00usd

Jason23 - where is sk? With your reference to usd$
I'm guessing it is another country - trying to guesstimate
shipping charges.
Thanks

where is SK
In answer to you question. SK is short for Saskatchewan. which is located directly above Montana and North Dakota. About 2 hours drive north of the USA boarder in Canada. Shipping could be done through Fed Ex freight or ups freight. I live in a city called Regina which is the capital city of Saskatchewan. You can call me collect if you would rather speak in person than email. thanks ~Tim 1-306-790-9248.

427 just Magfluxed and Hot Tanked
Just had the 427 block and crank Magnafluxed and Hottanked. Everything checks out just fine. New pics can be available to anyone interested. Also have the contact # for the machinest who did the work. He is happy to answer any questions about the block and crank. Can also provide reciepts for the inspection work that was done. Thanks for looking
In answer to excalibur's question. When I listed that the crank had hollow oil filled crank throw I was referring to the plugs found on each of the 427 cranks. They are hollow and fill with oil to help balance things. But 427's have 2 types I believe. the first are screw in plugs. The second which is what I have are snap ring retained plugs. Hope that helps to clarify. Thats the best way I can think of wording it.

OH, so thats what Gessford machine (George) was doing to a 427 crank.
Apparently he makes his own screw in plugs and taps threads into the crank when needed to install said plugs.
428 crank doesn't use that technology and is externally balanced. Interesting!

Jason,
Did your machinist say weather or not the bores would clean up at .030 or would they need to be sleeved? .030 is about all you can go over on a side oiler.
