Thumbs up T56 6 speed/FE setup for sale

I had a few people ask if I would split up the trans package I was selling, so here goes..

Transmission - T56 from a Viper. This trans was pulled out of a low mile Viper at my buddy's Dodge dealership. The customer complained about a sticky 2nd gear. I have purchased a brand new second gear synchro and gear, as well as a new T56 yoke, all genuine Tremec parts - asking $1300

Parts to bolt to an FE motor - T56 Adapter Plate, 428 Flywheel, clutch kit, bolt kit, Lakewood bellhousing, fork and pivot assy, quadrant, and firewall adjuster. All these parts came from Fortes and are new in the boxes. Asking $1500

If someone wants both the parts and transmission, I will sell together for $2500. The parts alone cost $1980. T56s sell for $2300. That's over $4200 worth of parts, so I think $2500 is a smokin deal.

E-mail me if interested. Powersurgeperf@aol.com

Powersurge: Do you happen to know the gear ratio's (1 thru 6) on that Viper tranny? I'm not REAL happy with 1st gear in my TKOII and was thinking about buying a new TKO600, but your post caught my eye.
Why aren't you going to use it in your CSX car?

Does anyone out there have a T-56 in their SPF that can give me some feedback?

Snakebitt, go to this link, and look for the specs on the T56 that ends in 018, that's the Viper unit.

As for why I'm not using it, I don't want to modify the frame on the Shelby. I will most likely do a TKO or Toploader now.

What TKO are you looking at? Maybe we can work out some sort of partial trade, if you're interested in a TKOII unit. Or are you looking at the new TKO600 like I am?

Yes, the 600 is what I would use.

Don't blame you. 1st is pretty much useless in the regular TKO's and the 3550's. I thought about just changing the rear from the 3.73 that's in it now, to something in the low 3's to see if that would help a little. I'm still trying to figure something out.
