Default Wanted: Broken valve covers

Does anyone have or know of a set of broken or damaged Cobra 427 or Le Mans aluminum valve covers that might be for sale.
Crazy idea here.
I would like to slice the tops off and mount them on my aluminum sheet metal 351C valve covers.
Thanks
Greg

Default Might not help...

Greg:

I have a set of thick, Cast Aluminum Ribbed Weiands Valvecovers that came on my 351C which is in a Cobra that was built back in 1979. My understanding is that they are kind of rare but I have no clue and I'm not using them. The're kind of slick looking with the ribs and Wieand inset name. I can take and send you a pic if your interested. Their just settin on the shelf in my garage. My email is (arrowhead@optonline.net) if you want to pursue. Otherwise; I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Default Custom shop in Midwest

Greg:

There was a guy that made them (only tall) for 351C's out in the midwest. It was back in March that i saw him advertise a set of them on Ebay, but he got big bucks for them. I think it was like $420 a set and he had his own machine shop. You can scout ebay for him. There's another guy that you might contact. I bought a set of Chromes VC's off him and he has Ford molds for 351C Valve Covers and puts on the emblems (not stickems). His name and email is:

TOM NASH
4322 N. DAMEN AVE.
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS 60618-1706
coily5@yahoo.com

You might try contacting him and see if he can help you out. I paid him a $120. for custom 351C valve covers with nice emblems on them. All I can think of for now. You're on your own.

Bernie

Some guy on the FF cobra website makes a spacer to mount FE valvecovers to the 351. Maybe worth a look he lists them in the "parts for sale section". If you can't find them let me know and I'll get you the info. G.

I regards to the adaptors.......... seems to me those where for a Windsor and do to the layout of the Cleveland valve train the FE covers could not be adapted........ basically they are to small!

There is a guy in the OCC that owns a place that does castings. Wonder if he want to make them?
